About This Project
This project was undertaken to widen the footpath along Dewhurst Road to accommodate cycles as well as pedestrians. The works were undertaken along the busy Dewhurst Road adjacent to Birchwood Shopping Centre and Birchwood Railway Station and therefore it was necessary to maintain vehicular and pedestrian access the duration of the works. Some areas of work, for example the installation of Zebra Crossings, were undertaken at night time to minimise disruption to traffic.
