Travers Street, Stoke on Trent

Value: £430,000

About this Project
This project was carried out to reinstate the site on Travers Street where a row of terraced houses have been demolished. This area is now being used as a garden and driveway extension for the houses on the parallel Port Street.

Works included the creation of gardens and car parking spaces on the extensions to the existing plots to rear of properties on Port Street and a communal car park for visitors. Residents were consulted prior to works commencing and had input on the final design of their garden through selecting the surfacing. The options included grass, artificial grass, gravel, paved areas and planted areas.

Boundary walls and fencing were erected between the plots and 1.8m high brick piers were constructed between the car parking spaces along Travers Street.

Soft landscaping included tree planting, creation of planting beds and seeding works. Auxiliary items, e.g. Bin stores, clothes driers, water butts were also installed.
