About This Project
This project was undertaken to enhance the main gateway to Ellesmere Port. Our works included the construction of new footpaths, hard paved areas and grass-crete access road, the installation of street furniture and soft landscaping including soiling, planting and turfing. The Normandy Veterans Association’s memorial stone was carefully relocated to a more visible position at the junction as part of the works. The photos above show the move in action.

The works were completed a week ahead of programme ensuring that the war memorial was available for the Remembrance Sunday Service. Horticon were proud to attend the unveiling of the new public realm along with local councillors, war veterans and the project team.
